I am currently experiencing an issue finalizing the transfer to the receiver. An error message is repeatedly popping up stating, "There is something wrong with the phone number, check and re-enter," preventing me from completing the transaction. Despite multiple attempts to re-enter the correct receiver's number, the transfer still won't go through due to this error. I would greatly appreciate assistance in resolving this matter.

I recently encountered an issue with a Western Union Money Transfer due to an error made by a Walmart agent in Winnipeg. Instead of listing the destination as Virginia, they accidentally put WV for West Virginia. This resulted in the money being returned when the recipient, Robert Russell, attempted to collect it. Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that the mistake had been corrected, but now I am being told that I cannot send money to Robert Russell in Winchester VA under his name ever again. I am confused and frustrated as I need the money to reach my friend promptly. Despite the Walmart clerk admitting fault and trying to resolve the issue, there seems to be a persistent problem preventing me from sending funds to my intended recipient. On November 29, [redacted], at 5:31 am, I purchased a money order at Kwik Shop. Unfortunately, between then and 8:30 am, the money order, along with the receipt, was lost or stolen. Yesterday, I obtained a photocopy of Kwik Shop's Transaction Journal, which confirmed that the money order was cashed. I am unable to print the Research Request Form needed to address this issue. Lacking transportation and a stamp, I cannot send the form and the $30 fee for a replacement through traditional mail. My only option is to communicate via email.

I recently made a transfer through Wu online to myself using my debit card, but encountered issues retrieving the money at a Wu shop. The confusion stemmed from the unclear and unfair form requirements. When registering, the form did not allow me to input all six of my names. Additionally, the instructions when filling in receiver information were misleading – while it stated the receiver's first name was required, the shop demanded the full name exactly as shown on the ID. Despite this discrepancy, the form did not clearly indicate that the full name was mandatory until after submission. Even after correcting these details, my middle names were not visible in the confirmation email or the UPS system, causing further complications. Although I managed to resolve the situation with the help of a kind staff member, the overall process has been frustrating, with my first transfer still unresolved and my money not yet returned to my bank account. I am eager to receive an update on when I can expect the funds to be available.

I've been using Western Union for a few years now. My kids send money from Turkey every month without any issues until last month. My ABSA account was unexpectedly suspended, but I resolved it by visiting the bank. Although I can now access my online banking normally, my children are facing difficulties sending money as my Western Union account seems to be blocked. For over 5 years, I've sent Canadian dollars through Western Union to Zenith Bank Ltd. in Tamale, Ghana. The funds are collected by my friend, retired Bishop Gregory Kpiebaya, to support leprosy patients who were relocated due to the government's needs. The Bishop provides updates and photos of the aid given. However, when I tried to send money recently from Cobourg, Ontario, I was informed about security issues preventing transfers to Ghanaian banks. Other transfer agents like MoneyMart also cited security concerns and policy restrictions for not sending money to Ghana. I attempted to make a money transfer multiple times last night with the new card, but each time the transaction was declined. I attempted to send $25 to my Marine grandson based in Okinawa using Western Union. Unfortunately, after multiple unsuccessful attempts at two different in-store kiosks (at Walgreen's and Brookshire's in Sulphur Springs, TX) and online through their website, I encountered numerous errors and was unable to complete the transaction. Despite trying to contact Western Union through various means, including their website and Interactive Voice Response system, the issue remained unresolved. I then sought assistance from Get Human, providing details of the problem and a contact number for a callback, only to not receive a prompt resolution as promised. After a few days without progress, I eventually found an alternative method to send a money transfer to my Marine grandson in Okinawa for Christmas.

I was instructed to contact WU to clear the payment sent to the receiver. They are awaiting the money, and I am currently waiting on hold for the next operator. Since this is time-sensitive, it is incredibly frustrating that there is no option for a callback. It feels like a complete waste of time having to wait with the same message being repeated, without a clear option for me to proceed. Such a simple matter has taken up most of my day.

On the 4th of April, [redacted], I initiated a money transfer of US $[redacted] (excluding an $8 transfer fee) from WU Pay-O-Matic located at [redacted] West 207th Street, NY, NY [redacted]. The tracking number for the MTCC transaction is [redacted]. The intended recipient of the money transfer in the Dominican Republic is my father residing in San Francisco de Macoris City. Despite multiple attempts by my father to collect the funds on the 5th, 6th, and 9th of April from the Western Union branch within the Sirena Store, he was unsuccessful due to the closure of the location. The closure was attributed to the current situation with the Coronavirus in the region. Subsequently, on the 10th of April, I contacted Western Union via 'live chat' and interacted with Agent Praveen, OPID [redacted]. I requested the cancellation of the $[redacted] transfer, understanding that the $8 fee would not be refunded. However, Agent Praveen did not issue a new MTCN tracking number as requested. Without this updated tracking number, I was informed at the Western Union branch on Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY [redacted] that I would not be able to retrieve the funds. The situation remains unresolved as my father has still not been able to receive the funds due to the closure of the WU office in San Francisco de Macoris City, D.R.
