Yesterday, while on my way to pick up a customer, I received a call from a man claiming to be an Uber employee. He mentioned that my ride was cancelled due to a complaint about alcohol odor, which was confusing as I never drink and drive. Assured of a resolution, I stayed on the call for an hour. Initially promised $[redacted], I ended up being scammed out of $[redacted], a week's earnings. The caller's number was [redacted], and after identifying the provider as TextNow-Bandwidth.com, I suspect Uber's Fraud Prevention Department is already informed. Uber should investigate this number's billing to track the fraudulent calls to drivers. I am willing to help with their inquiry at [redacted]. I appreciate your assistance in escalating this issue. I recently discovered an unauthorized charge on my card from your company, and I am extremely upset. I am unable to use your app due to limitations, and this situation has caused me a lot of distress. I spent hours trying to resolve this issue, and now I risk losing access to my bank account because of your company's actions. It's not just about the $9.99 charge; it's the principle of the matter. I am prepared to take legal action and involve a reputable law firm to address this fraudulent activity. Your company needs to ensure that your drivers are held accountable before this becomes a public scandal. Fraudulently charging individuals, especially those with disabilities, is reprehensible. Hello, I am writing to share my recent disappointing experience with Uber. On the morning of August 28th, [redacted], I had a reservation for a ride from Whitefield railway station to Sarjapur Road at 4:55 AM. Despite making multiple attempts to contact the driver through the Uber app from 4 AM onwards, I received no response. The app kept indicating that the taxi would arrive in 15 minutes, but no driver showed up. Accompanied by my wife and two children, one of whom was receiving medical treatment, we were left stranded with no assistance. Even after contacting Uber's customer care regarding the security risk we faced, as no cab arrived, there was no resolution offered. We were ultimately forced to book another taxi to reach our destination, causing us a great deal of frustration. To add insult to injury, despite not cancelling the ride myself, Uber later claimed to have done so and charged me a cancellation fee of Rs. [redacted]. This fee was unjustified given that the driver had not responded or arrived at the location despite the prolonged wait. I am deeply disappointed by this experience and intend to seek a resolution from Uber promptly. I have documented all my interactions with the app, including chat logs with the driver, call logs attempting to reach them, and screenshots illustrating the situation. I had planned a ride from Chennai Central Railway Station today (28.08.22) at 9:40 PM. The app indicated a 20-minute wait for the ride initially. However, as it reached a 2-minute wait, the driver Mr. Chandrasekar contacted me, inquiring about the drop location and fare. He proceeded to ask for additional money, and upon my refusal, requested that I cancel the ride. I am puzzled as to why I should bear the consequences of canceling the ride due to the driver's insistence on a higher fare than what UBER had specified. Unfortunately, I was charged a cancellation fee of Rs. [redacted] without any fault of mine, causing an unnecessary delay of about 25 minutes at the station. The driver's name is Chandrasekar, and the car was an UBER GO Sedan - White Maruthi Swift Dezire (Car number - [redacted]). Please ensure that drivers do not overcharge riders beyond UBER's stipulated rates to maintain trust and reliability. I had booked an Uber for 4 stops, but the driver left us at the 1st stop abruptly. He changed his behavior negatively when he saw my partner and me holding hands in the car. His driving became erratic and rude. It felt like he was upset with us for no reason. I suggest taking action against this unprofessional behavior. We are seeking a refund of $17.92 and an additional $30 for the distress caused. There seem to be extra charges on my partner's Cash App card, and we are exploring Lyft and legal options. I recently used Uber for the first time. During the ride, the driver offered to stop at a store without informing me of any extra charges. He seemed understanding and compassionate, even mentioning he was driving for Uber on his days off as a helicopter pilot. However, after the ride, I was surprised to see an additional $30.46 charge for the stop, which I was not made aware of beforehand. This experience has left me with a negative impression of Uber due to feeling like the driver, Alan, took advantage of the situation to make extra money. I would not have agreed to the stop if I knew there would be an added fee.

Dear Sir, My name is Alex Kutty, and I reside in Kollam. Unfortunately, today I visited Fort Kochi with my wife and daughter. Upon returning, I took an Uber with registration number KL42K7977 (Maruti Suzuki Swift Desire) driven by Abdul. From the beginning of the journey, he drove recklessly despite multiple requests from me, my wife, and child to slow down. It appeared he may have been driving under the influence. Ultimately, he dropped us near THOPPUMPADY junction around 8:30 p.m. I am a heart patient who has undergone angioplasty, and had to complete my journey by auto-rickshaw. While using the app, it unexpectedly closed on me. After reopening it to complete my order, I encountered an "insufficient funds" message. Upon checking my bank account, I noticed Uber charged $31.75 without successfully processing my order. I added more funds, assuming the pending charge would be returned. However, after a few days, the payment went through, and the pending transaction was finalized without a refund. Seeking help from Uber Eats, I couldn't find a suitable option for my issue. As a hardworking 16-year-old, I value my money and feel frustrated by this experience. I possess evidence of the double charge and hope for a resolution, especially since I am unable to voice my concerns directly in the app.

I recently scheduled a ride from Terminal 1C Arrival Road, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi to Lotus Shrishti Apartment, Crossing Republic, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh for September 16, [redacted], at 11:37 pm. The fare displayed was Rs. [redacted]. When the driver, Mr. Sareef, arrived about 15 minutes later, he inquired about the price shown on Uber during the booking. Despite informing him that he should have access to the booking details, he claimed he did not receive them. He then requested payment via Paytm on his personal number [redacted]68. I paid him Rs. [redacted], but the receipt only reflects a payment of Rs. [redacted]. I am concerned about this discrepancy as I require the accurate receipt for reimbursement purposes at my office.

I had a concerning experience with my Uber driver. During the ride, I noticed he was using two phones, both logged into Uber. As soon as he arrived at the pickup location, he switched to the farther one without adjusting the drop-off location, resulting in a significantly higher fare. On top of that, his driving was subpar. After my bank card was compromised, I requested a new one from the bank and updated my Uber account details. However, I discovered that I can no longer use Instant Payout. Despite contacting Uber Customer Service multiple times, I received no solution. Reading Uber's tips for drivers, I found out that changing payout information results in a temporary Instant Pay suspension. I urgently need access to my earnings for gas, yet it seems I am stuck in this situation. Furthermore, my payout scheduled for October 3rd was mysteriously pushed to October 10th, leaving me financially strained. I am at a loss as my gas tank is near empty, and I rely on Instant Payout to continue driving. The delay in resolving this issue is causing me significant distress.

I had an Uber trip with two friends from Av. del Jarama, 20, [redacted] Coslada to Airport Madrid Barajas (T1) in Madrid. One friend left my phone in the car, and after realizing it 25 minutes later, we tried calling the phone. The driver, Enrique Alfredo, answered and said he would leave it at his office for us to pick up. However, after a few failed attempts to reach him again, the phone was turned off. Uber contacted the driver regarding the lost phone, but he claims he hasn't seen it. I provided Uber with the driver's name and still haven't received a resolution. I am eagerly waiting for an update on the matter.

On October 3rd, [redacted], I made a payment of [redacted] Rs for an Uber ride through Paytm. There was a technical issue, and though the amount was deducted from my account, it hadn't reached the driver. I informed the driver who agreed to wait. Later, he urgently needed the money for fuel. Paytm notified me that the transaction was pending, so I re-paid. By October 5th, Paytm confirmed the successful transaction to the person. Unfortunately, the driver now isn't answering my calls, and Uber Support is unwilling to refund me.

I discovered unauthorized charges through Uber on March 28th, [redacted], totaling over $[redacted]. I have reached out to my bank's fraud department due to being unable to contact Uber directly. Today, I noticed new charges on a different card related to Uber rides, despite not having an account with Uber in South Carolina. My personal information seems to have been compromised, and Uber is not preventing these fraudulent transactions. If Uber does not address this issue and remove any accounts associated with my name and phone number, I will take legal action. This is the second time my information has been misused. I do not use Uber with my three registered vehicles, including a motorcycle. I insist on a refund for these unauthorized charges and for my information to be removed promptly to avoid further legal action for allowing this fraudulent activity.

On September 30th, I made a booking with Uber XL in Mumbai from the airport to East Andheri. The initial cost of Rs [redacted] was already high for the distance. However, during the ride, the route taken by the driver was incorrect, leading to a dead end under construction. As a result, the final cost of the trip increased to Rs [redacted] due to the app's error. I attempted to pay using Google Pay, but faced an issue and had to use PhonePe UPI instead. To my dismay, upon checking my records later, it seems I was charged twice the amount - a total of Rs 1,[redacted]. I have been diligently trying to report this issue through chat support with evidence, but sadly, I have not received any responses. Regrettably, there seems to be no accessible customer service number for me to escalate this matter.

We booked a ride from East Patel Nagar to Munirka at around 3:10 PM. Unfortunately, the car we received was in poor condition, with the AC not working and the left door jammed. The driver's behavior was also rude, but we tried to overlook these issues. The fare was Rs [redacted], and we paid Rs [redacted] in cash. However, the driver did not return Rs 8 in change. Surprisingly, later we noticed that the app showed Rs [redacted] unpaid despite our payment. It seems the driver wrongfully entered the amount. We rated the journey positively as usual but encountered this issue later. We believe that such behavior by drivers of a reputed company like Uber is unacceptable, especially causing distress to senior citizens and former government officials. As a security officer at Green State Credit Union in Des Moines, located at [redacted] SW 9th Street, I needed to address an incident involving a driver who parked illegally in a no-parking area in front of our stairs today around 11:00 a.m. The driver, who had a black Iowa plate with the number SUBBA, displayed disrespectful behavior when asked to move his car. This individual, of Indian descent, was middle-aged, wore glasses, and was uncooperative. Despite being informed of the violation, he insisted on waiting for his passenger and instructed me to leave. Such actions are unacceptable given the security concerns at our bank, which has been a target of robberies in the past. I urge the driver to comply with parking regulations in the future to avoid further consequences, including potential involvement of the Des Moines Police Department.
