TL:DR A TD Bank ATM machine Stole my Money and my Debit Card.**Hi, My name is James.**On Friday, January **, **** at approx. **:**am, I went into a TD Bank branch at*****-***** Queens Boulevard*Forest Hills, NY *******I attempted to make a deposit into the ATM in the lobby, marked:**Machine * B*****I inserted my card and entered my pin number. From there I took the steps to making a deposit.*The machine asked me to insert the money all at once, which was $***, which were * $*** bills, and i did. **The ATM then said on screen that my transaction could not be completed and that my money was being returned. The machine spit out a $*** bill and as I waited for the rest it never came out.**The screen then said that it could not return my card for security reasons and locked me out and returned to the home page.***At that time I flagged down an employee who was standing close by and I explained to her my situation and she referred me to another gentleman who said he couldn’t help me either. They explained that they don’t have access to the ATM, that they are serviced by a third party company and that I would need to have my bank start an investigation. They said I needed to contact my banking institution (I don’t have an account with TD Bank, just wanted to use the ATM).**I left the bank baffled as to why they have no access to the ATMs that are located IN THE BANK with the TD Bank logo on them.**I contacted my Debit card provider which is PayPal*Mastercard and they informed me that no transaction had transpired on their end and they received no record of me using an ATM that day. They said I need to go back to the bank and file a dispute with TD Bank.**I go back to the bank and a very nice young gentleman by the name of**Aleksandr Demidenko**Sits with me and helps me try to resolve this, even speaking on the phone with the people at your bank as well as PayPal and MasterCard to figure out a solution to which they couldn’t provide any insisting that the incident occurred at your bank with your ATM.**One lady from TD even told me there’s no record of the incident happening to which I replied “My card is physically in your machine, get someone to open it up. Check the security Cameras. That will prove that what I am telling you is correct.” **So what I was told is that in order for someone to audit the machine or check the security cameras that an investigation would have to take place but TD Bank tells me they can not file a dispute or a REG E because I am not a customer of the bank.**Mr. Demidenko says he sent out an email to someone at TD and that he will contact me when he gets a reply. I still haven’t heard anything yet and I need to resolve this matter ASAP since I am the only one with any incentive in this situation because I’m out $*** cash.**I just want my money and my card back, How can we resolve this without getting my lawyer involved? ** If the ATM machine is audited, you will find my card, an extra $*** in cash in there along with security footage that proves my case.**Thanks for your time.
