Booked a flight (within the last two weeks) to the Philippines for a friend's wedding, which was set to take place in early October. Said friend just notified me that the wedding has been canceled*postponed indefinitely due to changes in the Philippines' COVID quarantine policies. I am now trying to cancel my flight(s) for said trip. Return flight was booked through google (ANA Airlines) and was very easy to cancel for a refund with a small fee which I did not mind paying. Priceline, however, *****. **Their website (trip management page) led me to believe that I would not be able to cancel with them, but instead would have to contact both of the airlines I was set to fly with on my way there. After contacting each of those airlines, both have said that since my ticket was purchased using a travel agent*service I would have to go through said service to cancel my flights. After attempting to use the online chat option with Priceline to discuss this (from which I was barely even able to get a response) the 'agent' on the other end directed me to contact their phone hotline. However, when I called the phone hotline, an automated response informed me that they would not be willing or able to assist me IN ANY WAY regardless of the request due to the fact that my flight is not departing within the next two weeks. As of right now I am still totally unsure if I will be able to cancel my trip despite it being two months from now and have been told that I can't even get anyone to answer a simple question for me until two weeks before the departure date. **I am livid at the moment but trying to calm myself down and figure out what steps to take next. I just want someone to tell me, yes or no, if there is anything at all that can be done to cancel or refund my trip (even partial) and I can't even get an answer to a simple question from them. I truly, honestly hope that this company goes out of business immediately and that it's entire board of directors falls ill with covid-**. Needless to say will will never, under any circumstances, give them my business again. I have dealt with some less than adequate customer service before but this is an absolute low-point. Especially given the price of purchase.
