I joined the club in November,**th **** and paid $* enrollment fee and $***.** ($**.** Annual fee * $**.** monthly fee) on the dame day. Since I plan to travel most of time in **** so that I had the front desk gentleman confirmed to not sign me up into automatically monthly payment. The gentleman confirmed and told me I just need to tell the front desk to charge me for new monthly fee when I walked in for new month. The gentleman was nice and friendly. I was happy for his service. I started to use this club for the first week in December, **** then I was sick for rest of day until ********. I found out the monthly fee $**.** showed up in my credit card statement in the morning on ********. I walked in the club again and discussed with the gentleman at front desk. The gentleman in the club denied about what he had told me and said that I need to pay $** every month to freeze my account if I don't want to use the club but want to keep membership. I was very upset about the miscommunication happened in the beginning. If I have told that they need to put all members in automatically monthly payment and need to pay $** each month to freeze account I will not join the club as I planned traveling most of time in ****. I could not get good result from the discussion so that I had to cancel my membership with NYSC in Livingston on ******** and still to pay another one and half monthly fee without using it, as they said to cancel membership will takes ** days notice in advance. I don't understand that I paid annual fee already why need to pay extra fee for freeze my account. And, why the customer service confirmed per customer requested and denied afterwards. I would like to request to rebate my annual fee or to freeze my account with $* monthly fee. I will pay monthly fee once I come back from traveling.
