The issue in GetHuman-swri's own words
So I specifically called Lucille Roberts to officially cancel my membership once it ended and they stated over the phone that I would only be able to cancel such membership in person but I moved so there was no Lucille Roberts in reach and I explained that. Also that fact that the contract I signed did not state that I would have to go in person to cancel such membership so each month after, they continued to try to charge a card that was out of commission and continued to call me and I had to continuously explain to them the same exact situation. The last time they called, they stated they would be charging me a little over *** for each month after the membership ended then changed it to *** since I would not be coming back to the gym. If you check their records, I have not attended that gym long before my actual membership ended. I should not be charged at all since I have not attended after my membership and I have paid for my actual membership. Such contract also did not state that I would be charged per month if membership was not cancelled in person.
GetHuman-swri did not yet indicate what New York Sports Clubs (NYSC) should do to make this right.
