Hello. *I was told that I was signing up for a ten day trial. The manager at the Bayonne NYSC told me he would call me personally on the day that trial was ending so I could either confirm or deny signing up. The tenth day came and I did not receive a call, I decided I would reach out and call the location only to hear that there was no manager in that day. I went to the location the next day and was told again that there was no many there. My card was charged $** which was not the price I expected if I were to continue using the gym ( the manager told me I would be charged $**.** for the back to school special if I chose not to cancel) however, I didn’t have the opportunity to cancel because there was no manager around the two days I tried to cancel. Upon being charged for a membership I did not want, I called again and asked specifically for the manager by name to finally get the man who signed me up. When I spoke to him, he agreed that I should not have been charged and said the money would be able to be refunded if I stayed a member (for the $**.** price.) which I didn’t want but he said he could not refund me. The next week, I was charged $** for yearly membership fees for a gym that I was not using because I did not want to be a member after the ** day trial, but no one who was capable of canceling my membership was available to speak with me either in person or over the phone. Even though I was told I would be called by the manager and my money would be refunded I never was. I do feel scammed by the manager at the Bayonne New York sports club location and all I’m asking for is the refund of the money which should have never been charged from my account, regardless of my signing up for the trial because the manager did not make himself available for me to cancel and did not conduct himself in a professional manner. If I am not refunded after all of this, I will need to contact the better business bureau of New York as well as my lawyer because I feel as if this manager, Matthew Rivera is taking advantage of people in my community. *Thank you*Madison Gonzalez
