I recently purchased a laptop from Mercia for school and gaming. The product description assured me there were no known issues, so I made the purchase. Unfortunately, upon receiving the laptop, I discovered problems with the internal graphics card causing it to malfunction. I contacted the seller for assistance, they provided troubleshooting tips, but none resolved the issue. I refrained from rating or confirming the purchase during my attempt to fix it, intending to return it. However, upon revisiting the website, I noticed Mercia had confirmed the purchase without my knowledge. When I reached out to them, they claimed I confirmed it and therefore, I couldn't receive a refund. Despite their assertion, I never confirmed the purchase or rated the seller. I am extremely frustrated with a buyer's "return" claim that got approved due to buyer's remorse. The buyer requested a return the day after the purchase, even before receiving the item. I clarified Mercari's return policy, and after I sent evidence to Customer Support, they assured me they had noted the situation. However, the buyer later falsely claimed the item was not as described to authorize the return. Despite multiple attempts to escalate the issue, I received unsatisfactory automated responses from customer service. I seek financial compensation for this unfortunate event. If Mercari cannot reverse the return, I request reimbursement of the $79 sale directly from Mercari. I feel helpless despite my efforts to protect myself in this situation and the lack of assistance from customer support.

I didn't receive my order and couldn't sign in to contact the seller or write a review. The seller completed the order, mistakingly thinking I got the Sharper Image clock, but I actually ordered an electronic chess set. I recently shipped a valuable putter through UPS to a customer. After tracking its journey from CA to NC, I noticed a delay in updates on the expected delivery date. Despite reaching out to Mercari three days ago, I have yet to receive a response. Today, I was informed that the package was delivered two days late, and now the buyer is requesting a refund, claiming the item received is not as pictured in the ad. The buyer mentioned that the box arrived partially open and contained an older model of the putter I sold. I am confident that I sent the correct item and suspect foul play from either the buyer or UPS in switching the clubs. Mercari is prompting me to confirm the return without conducting an investigation into the matter.

I purchased an item on Mercari and paid ¥34,[redacted] with my credit card on October 25th. I have been selling on Mercari for over two years and have gathered a significant following of returning buyers. Despite my efforts to ensure all my listings are authentic, my account was recently suspended by Mercari's Customer Service for allegedly posting counterfeit items. I have participated in their authentication process and have not listed any fake or non-authentic items. After expressing my frustration over this unjust suspension and the fees I have paid, my account was abruptly closed without any clear evidence or explanation. The lack of transparency and professionalism from Customer Service is concerning. It seems like there is a lack of oversight and accountability for their actions. I believe sellers and buyers should have the opportunity to defend themselves against such accusations, as Customer Service personnel may not always have the expertise they claim to possess.

Hello Gethuman, I require your assistance. I bought a mocha brown vintage messenger bag from Konnect Krimson on Mercari. The bag I received was completely different from the one advertised. I contacted Marci and the seller, but only Marci responded, apologizing for the inconvenience. Marci mentioned they couldn't assist further due to me supposedly rating the customer, which I explained never happened. How could I approve payment for something I didn't purchase upon arrival? It's about the principle; the seller falsely advertised a nice leather bag, sent a different one, engaging in a bait-and-switch tactic. Mercari should hold sellers accountable for misrepresentation. I have experienced being blocked three times for selling Clorox wipes on your platform. Despite others selling them without being blocked, I was repeatedly restricted. I understand the challenges related to online sales, but it seems unfair that some sellers are favored over others. This situation feels discriminatory to me. I made sure to mimic the wording and description of the sellers who are still allowed to sell the product, yet I still faced restrictions. Can you shed some light on this matter?

I have been using the Mercari app for over a year now (as of 12/8/20) primarily for browsing and saving favorites. In August (8/20), I made my first purchase for my birthday and although it was not a cheap buy, the clothing bundle from a young lady was worth it. She was fantastic and very helpful. However, I missed the time limit for leaving a review due to receiving the package late. Despite my efforts to contact the company to leave a comment, my account now shows "Unauthorized User" every time I try to favorite an item after my purchase. I recently sold an item (m[redacted]9) and shipped it to the buyer. The item was delivered on 12/8/20. After rating the buyer, I received a notification from Mercari stating that they "adjusted the shipping" and took the entire net amount of $6.66, on top of the $3.49 that was already deducted. This is the second item in a row that I've had issues with, as the other item was reported as delayed and then lost. I would appreciate it if someone could explain how this situation will be resolved.

I sold a Weighted blanket to a customer on 11/28/[redacted] and shipped it on November 30th. Unfortunately, the package is untraceable, and the customer has cancelled the order, which Mercari has approved. I am now left with a missing blanket and uncertain of its whereabouts.
