An employee came up to me and accused me of stealing another's customers cart. I said. "No, this is my cart." She continued saying it over and over, that first I had stolen the cart, then she changed it and was saying that I had stole. The yellow flowers that where in my basket out of another ladies basket! I started getting super irritated with her and she wouldn't stop saying it loudly to her co worker. It was very embarrassing because there where other customers standing around and everyone was starting to look at me. I started explaining to everyone around me that this lady was nuts, but she kept on discussing it loudly with her friend, that I had stolen another person's cart!!! Eventually I had to leave the section I was trying to shop at because she wouldn't stop. She was so ridiculous I questioned whether or mot she was even an employee? She told me she was an employee and I asked her name. She replies that her name was Carmen and the situation at this point was very escalated. People where looking at us and I was literally in shock that someone working in customer service for a large chain was actually doing this! I went to the front of store and asked another employee to plz get a manager for me. My hands where actually shaking because I'm a good person, I don't steal anything from anyone, andcthos was just ridiculous!!! Mostly angry about this woman's customer service skills! Ice worked in customer service my whole life, and her attitude toward me, and her out right accusations where more than unacceptable! I came to the conclusion that someone made a big mistake on hiring this woman! When the manager appeared, I asked him if we could please step to the side for a little privacy because with the situation at hand I felt like I needed his undivided attention. I was doing a pretty good job at speaking calmly and not taking this out on him. It was a conscious effort on my part because I was definitely close to rage. I explained to the manager (Stan) what had happened. I also stated that he should review his security cameras so that this could be cleared up. He said, no need for that, if I day I didn't take them that was good enough. Stan seemed to have no emotion at all. His advice to me was that I pay for the flowers in my cart and just forget about it, no big deal. Wow! Are you kidding me? I'm like, this isn't happening! I told him that I had another customer that said she would be a witness to how this lady was treating me. Stan said he believed me with just my word and everything was ok. I asked him if he knew this employee well? I figured surely this isn't the first issue with this woman. He told me he did not know her at all. I felt like Stan really wasn't too interested in addressing this and maybe just wanted to down play the whole thing, as if I where over reacting. I think I questioned what action he was going to take, somewhat hard remember because I was so mad. I know he said he was going to speak with her and go over some customer service expectations or something to that effect. I just said ok at that point and walked away. The customer that had told me she was willing to witness what had happened told me that she worked for Lowe's a long time ago, and that I should contact corporate office. I really hope someone takes the time to actually call and talk to me because there is even more, but I just need to have an actual conversation rather than typing I of this!
