I submitted an application for the Hardship Program, and it's currently under review. I was advised by the gentleman handling my case to submit my [redacted] income tax return due to the sale of our foreclosed home that year. Besides Social Security, my husband and I have had no other income since [redacted]. Our [redacted] tax return is already in your records. According to the IRS, our house had a fair market value of $[redacted],[redacted] and sold for $[redacted],[redacted]. As the primary caregiver for my 90-year-old husband with dementia, who is unable to assist, I've taken on the task of managing our taxes. The [redacted] return we filed seems complex to me, so I require assistance, especially considering the upcoming October 15 deadline. Thank you.

I was supposed to receive a child tax payment on August 13, [redacted]. However, I have not received it yet. Also, it is my understanding that I should receive $[redacted] per child within a certain age bracket. Despite this, I have only received $[redacted] for July and September. I am a bit confused. Can someone please send me a letter or some form of notification to my new address? I have tried to address this issue with the local IRS branch. On my recent tax returns, my address is incorrectly listed as Sebring. I actually live in Bradenton, Florida, with my address being [redacted] 17th Ave West, Bradenton, Florida, [redacted], as indicated in my taxes prepared by Liberty Tax. I need that money. My NetSpend bank information is correct. Please assist me. You can contact me at [redacted].

I recently received a bill from the Department of the Treasury stating I owe $11,[redacted].76 for tax year [redacted]. I need assistance arranging a payment plan. Currently, 10% of my wages are being garnished for state taxes for [redacted] and another state tax. In one year, I couldn't file because someone else claimed me. Due to the pandemic, my job has reduced hours and sales are down. I'm struggling financially, so I need to request a lower payment amount until I settle my state taxes for [redacted]. I previously called when I couldn't file taxes and received no response. Recently, there were layoffs at my job on a weekly basis, adding to my financial stress. Please help me with a manageable payment plan during this challenging time. The notice I received is CP504, and the caller ID is [redacted].

Hello, I have a question regarding transferring funds between two BTC wallets in relation to tax implications. Here is the scenario: John Doe has $2,[redacted] worth of BTC in his Blockchain account wallet. Upon realizing Blockchain doesn't offer a borrow program that could minimize taxable events, he investigates and learns that CoinBase.com provides a borrow program enabling him to leverage up to 40% of his coinbase.com account value. John Doe sets up a Coinbase.com account and is now contemplating the tax consequences of moving some or all of his BTC to a BTC wallet on Coinbase.com. This raises the following queries: 1. If John Doe receives regular crypto payments into his Blockchain wallet or holds onto crypto, would transferring all or parts of the funds to the new BTC wallet on Coinbase.com trigger taxable events? 2. How should John Doe inform the IRS about owning BTC on both Blockchain.com and Coinbase.com? 3. Can borrowing through Coinbase.com's program be considered non-taxable? Thank you for your assistance.

I have been struggling to access the "get-my-payment" tool for months. Creating an IRS user account seems suspicious because each time I try, I am told to wait for a letter that never arrives. My third stimulus payment was sent to an old address and returned. My tax preparer missed requesting it back. After many failed attempts navigating the IRS phone menu, I spoke to a person who promised a call within 30 days that never came. Another call ended abruptly. This issue has left me unable to pay my rent and facing homelessness. Thank you.

Hello, my husband and I file our taxes annually. We have two children, ages 9 and 13. During the COVID crisis, except for the first stimulus, subsequent payments have only included one of our children. We are thankful for the financial help but are unsure why one of our children was left out. We are also receiving the child tax credit, which should be $[redacted] monthly but is only $[redacted] because one son is missing. Is there a way to correct this issue? We look forward to your response. Thank you - H. Cheatley and R. Cheatley, Jr.

I have been waiting for my taxes since April 5th, [redacted], filed through TurboTax. I have not received them or any stimulus payments. The IRS stated in a letter that they are looking into it, but it has been over two years with no resolution. I replied to their letter via eFax and spoke to a representative regarding my unemployment claim and additional COVID-19 assistance, but nothing has been processed. I also filed for [redacted] refunds via Jackson Hewitt in Killeen, Texas, with no updates. I'm looking for guidance on how to proceed.

My son keeps receiving daily letters requesting identity verification. He resides both with me and in Maui where his child lives, sometimes more often in Maui. A local tax preparer filed his taxes for multiple years simultaneously, leading to the IRS sending a 5071C letter. Despite our efforts, we face difficulties resolving this. I am currently on hold, prepared to include him in the call for assistance. We both attempted to provide the necessary information multiple times but reached dead ends. He previously received aid once and visited H&R Block, which handled his Maui filing last year. The identity verification letters pertain to his [redacted] tax return and are being sent to my address. Looking for guidance on how to proceed.

Hello, good afternoon. My name is Gerardo Diaz, and I desperately need assistance. I am struggling to get my address changed for over a week now. Every time I call, I get disconnected or put on hold for 2 to 3 hours without being able to reach anyone directly. This situation is critical as I am currently homeless. The service also mentioned a hold on my [redacted] tax return and that the IRS is requesting verification for my dependent, JESUS GARCIA. I am willing to provide any necessary information to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I recently received a letter from the IRS (CP5048) dated September 27th stating that I owe $[redacted] due to missing two K-1 forms for [redacted]. I promptly responded by mailing a letter and copies of all four K-1 forms as requested. I carefully organized and included proof of receipt in a separate folder. This situation is particularly challenging for me as I have been dealing with personal difficulties, such as the loss of my mother and my husband's recent dementia diagnosis. I am struggling financially as my husband is no longer able to work, and my son has taken over the family business. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to reach the IRS by phone after waiting for two hours on hold once. I am eager to resolve this matter but need to speak with someone directly for guidance. My EIN is 20-[redacted].

As an 80-year-old Vietnam Veteran with [redacted]% disability, I've struggled with a significant income tax debt related to a business venture issue in [redacted]. My fixed income can't keep up with the monthly $[redacted] payments, adding stress to my wife and me due to declining health and age. I aim to negotiate an Offer in Compromise to settle the balance of $27,[redacted].63, but lack the funds to hire a tax professional. Trying for weeks to contact the IRS by phone, I've faced challenges with incorrect numbers and no live assistance. If anyone could provide me with the correct IRS department's contact details to speak with a live representative, it would greatly assist me. Thank you for your understanding. - Peter R. I have been working as a house cleaner and carpet washer for over four years, but I didn't realize I needed to file taxes until recently. During the early days of the pandemic, I stored my belongings with a friend who unfortunately passed away from cancer. I was unable to help pay for the storage, and all the records of my income and expenses were lost. As I no longer live in Fresno, tracking down my clients has become challenging due to businesses closing and people relocating. How can I rectify my tax returns for the years [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] given these circumstances?

I have been attempting to contact the IRS for over a year to access assistance available to single parents and children. Unfortunately, I have not received any of the stimulus money that was sent out to others. Despite trying to file my taxes after receiving PUA unemployment and following instructions to claim my stimulus, I continuously face issues when contacting the IRS. The automated system hangs up on me, and when I manage to speak to a representative, I get transferred and disconnected. Seeking help from tax and unemployment offices in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, did not resolve my problems. On top of this, I encountered financial setbacks due to unexpected changes in unemployment benefits, affecting my business plans and overall livelihood. The frustration is overwhelming. Please assist me in resolving these matters. Thank you. - Nikki J.

I filed my taxes back in February and have yet to receive the $[redacted] stimulus payment. Additionally, $[redacted] was deducted for supposed arrears, which I believe was taken in error as I was in retro status. Despite receiving the $[redacted] stimulus, the $[redacted] was not deposited due to an incorrect account provided, despite updating my information. As a non-filer, I am still awaiting the $[redacted] payment. I have child support from three fathers and suspect they may have wrongfully received the $[redacted] stimulus meant for me, which I intend to dispute. I am concerned about the delay in processing my refund, which should have been straightforward given my disability status. I believe there was an error in importing my information, and I urge you to contact me promptly to resolve this issue. Your assistance is greatly appreciated as I am in urgent need of these funds. Thank you and God bless.

Having recently transitioned out of a domestic violence shelter, I have been relying on the child tax credit that has always been a consistent support. However, I am currently facing a sudden issue with my eligibility status, which has now been labeled as "pending," leaving me without the aid I desperately need. I understand the IRS is overwhelmed with inquiries due to the pandemic, but I am simply seeking assistance in resolving this matter. I hope to connect with someone who can offer guidance and support during this challenging time. I appreciate any help that can be provided.

Years ago, my identity was stolen. Currently, I am facing issues with my tax refunds and stimulus payments due to verification problems. I have tried to resolve this for months, but I lack the necessary documents for verification. I have a state-issued driver's license as my only form of identification. This situation has caused financial hardship, especially during the pandemic. I have not received any stimulus payments despite filing as a non-filer. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter by either dismissing my ip pin requirement or reissuing it so that my stimulus payments can be released. Thank you for your help in advance. - C.L. Lansford

I need to adjust my payment plan that was due at the end of the month. I receive SSDI and had unexpected medical expenses, including a hospital stay and out-patient tests I had to cover myself. I was a victim of identity theft in Roanoke, VA, which I have reported to the Police and government agencies multiple times. My bank took $[redacted].00 from my account unlawfully, and I'm struggling to manage the $[redacted].00 IRS payment due soon, along with around $[redacted].00 in medical and dental bills from last December. I'm seeking an extension due to these circumstances, especially after experiencing a three-week illness following my third Covid-19 shot on 09-15-21.

I did not receive my $[redacted] stimulus check in [redacted]. Despite the IRS stating they would send a paper check to my correct address, it seems my information was altered online. I suspect foul play from my ex-husband or another individual. Without the original payment, I claimed a recovery rebate on my taxes as a single filer. Now, the IRS is requesting repayment of the $[redacted] stimulus, along with late fees, even though I never received the initial payment via check or direct deposit.

I tried to file my [redacted] taxes online, but they were rejected because my ex-spouse claimed both children when I should have been able to claim one. He corrected his taxes, allowing me to claim one child. I sent my taxes via certified mail as head of household on the due date in May [redacted] with proof of delivery. I'm currently waiting for my refund and I need guidance on how to resolve this situation.

I have consistently filed the short form and received refunds from both state and federal taxes. However, during [redacted] to [redacted], I was battling breast cancer and didn't file any returns. I would like clarification on a few points: 1. How many prior years will they issue refunds for? 2. Is it necessary to file for all missed years even if I may not receive a refund? 3. Should the missing returns be filed in chronological order? 4. When claiming refunds, do I need to declare them as income for the current year I am filing, rather than as income from the previous year?
