My father claimed me on his [redacted] tax return, even though I didn't live with him for six months and wasn't in the same state. When I filed my taxes in Alabama, I had to acknowledge someone claimed me as a dependent to avoid issues. He previously used my bank account for his taxes, but I removed him due to missing money. Now, with the stimulus payment, he's set to receive $[redacted] claiming me as a dependent for [redacted], which is incorrect. The stimulus is directed to my account, and I'm unsure if there's a way to pause it if approved. How can I report this as tax fraud?

I don't have text messaging on my phone, so please use an alternative way to reach out to me. I've spent three hours attempting to contact IRS.gov using various phone numbers for customer service, but none of them address my issue. The problem could easily be solved if there was a way to speak to a customer representative, but that option isn't provided. I was willing to endure a long wait on hold to speak with someone, but spending all this time without progress is extremely frustrating.

I am a federal government employee with 19 years of service at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco, California. In [redacted], when I tried to file my taxes electronically through TurboTax, it was rejected because the IRS didn't provide me with an ID number for fraud prevention. I then mailed in my taxes, and the IRS applied my $[redacted] refund to offset my school loan, which I understand and agree with. In [redacted], when I filed my taxes by mail again through TurboTax, it was rejected due to the lack of an IRS ID number. I moved from [redacted] 43rd Ave to my current address at [redacted] Folsom Street in June [redacted] due to COVID-19. I never received the $[redacted] stimulus check. Recently, I received a letter forwarded from my old address asking me to contact the IRS. Upon calling, I was informed that there is no record of my [redacted] filing, and my [redacted] taxes are still being processed. I believe I should be eligible for the $[redacted] and $[redacted] stimulus checks. I want to ensure I receive these payments as I am now in possession of my new ID number for [redacted]. Please assist me in resolving this matter. Thank you, James E. G. [redacted]

Hello, I sent my [redacted] tax return via the post office on 10/19/20, and the IRS confirmed receiving it on 10/22/20 according to the US Postal system. I am James A Firkser residing at [redacted] N Venice St., Arlington, VA [redacted]. I have a modest refund of $[redacted]. I have verified online with the IRS, but it does not indicate the receipt of my return. I have refrained from inputting my SSN as a precaution. I seek assistance to confirm the receipt of my return, locate my refund status, and ascertain when it will be processed. I updated my direct deposit information after receiving the first stimulus check in May [redacted]. However, since my [redacted] return is not showing, I am concerned about receiving the second stimulus payment via direct deposit. I am looking to update this information if needed. Thank you.

Dear Sir, I am the widow of an American citizen living in Paris, France. I received an economic impact check, but my bank in France cannot cash foreign checks since [redacted]. They advised me to provide my banking information for a transfer. Please let me know where to send my R.I.B. with BIC and IBAN for a bank transfer of $[redacted] from the check I received. It will be safer than sending it through the mail during these uncertain times. My Social Security payments from Baltimore are sent through bank transfers, which can confirm my beneficiary status. Sincerely, Mrs. H. Mariefrance 7 rue Raoul Dufy [redacted] PARIS (SS number: [redacted]) The economic impact check is from Kansas City, MO.

I have not received my stimulus check of $[redacted]. I relocated in October [redacted], and I believe the check may have been sent to my previous address without being forwarded. My new address is [redacted] Lark Ave, Maplewood, MN [redacted]. The past stimulus check went to my former address, Priscilla Smoley at [redacted] Skyline Drive, Vadnais Heights, MN [redacted]. While my Social Security checks are directly deposited into my bank savings account, the stimulus check did not follow suit. I have attempted to track it on the website, but it doesn't recognize my new address. If I can utilize the $[redacted] for my income tax payment, please advise me on the process. Appreciate your assistance. Priscilla Smoley

I am encountering an issue while trying to file my taxes using TurboTax. When I input the information for my current employer, Branch Out Licensed Behavior Analysis, an error message appears, stating that the Employee SSN does not match the social security number entered in the personal information worksheet. My employer assures me that my SSN is correct in their payroll system. However, the W2 provided displays my social security number as "xxx-xx-[redacted]," which is unusual as W2 forms typically show the full number. TurboTax indicates that my employer's SSN for me is [redacted]-8. I understand that I need a revised W2, but my employer claims my SSN is accurate. I am unable to proceed with filing my taxes and am facing difficulties obtaining a corrected W2. Any assistance on how to resolve this would be highly appreciated.

I am currently filling out a [redacted] SR tax form. I am a senior residing in Canada with Old Age Security benefits and a Canadian pension from the government to report. After entering the amounts, should I write 0 for the taxable amount since I believe these benefits are non-taxable in the US? Additionally, I am unsure where to include interest income from a short-term deposit. Can anyone provide guidance as I have been unsuccessful in reaching the IRS for assistance? Thank you for your help. - L. Turner

Good day, I am Rinat Akhmadiev from Russia. When attempting to withdraw Bitcoin to Russia, my crypto wallet indicated a required tax payment of either 15% or 30%. Unable to afford the full amount, I paid 15% as a compromise. On November 11, [redacted], I tried to withdraw Bitcoin outside the U.S., but the IRS froze the transfer and requested documents for tax reduction verification. The wallet provided a case serial number from its internal register, but this was not recognized as sufficient proof. The wallet insisted on the remaining 15% tax payment, yet delayed processing it, resulting in the transfer being flagged as suspicious. Consequently, 0.[redacted] Bitcoin was lost when the funds were returned to my U.S. crypto wallet. To unfreeze my Bitcoin account, another tax payment is required, which I cannot afford after exhausting savings on the initial tax. I seek assistance in resolving this issue, with all evidence available. Contact me at [redacted] or tel. [redacted]8. Thank you for any help as I lack understanding of the U.S. tax code.

I need some assistance, and I believe the solution might be simple. I've been working two jobs for the past 16 years, one in Kentucky and one in Indiana. There's a local reciprocity agreement, meaning I typically only file state taxes in Kentucky. However, this year I lost my Indiana job due to COVID-19 and filed for unemployment there. The [redacted]-G form for Unemployment Compensation shows my state taxes paid to Indiana, but it doesn't seem to transfer correctly to my Kentucky tax return using the online software. I am using the [redacted]-SR form. My Kentucky return captured the income from the [redacted]-G, but not the taxes paid to Indiana. Do I now need to file a return in Indiana this year?

I typically use TurboTax for my taxes and this year I received 4 W-2 forms. Unfortunately, I forgot to include some of them as they arrived at different times. I only realized later that all W-2 forms should be filed together. After processing 3 of them on TurboTax, I received another one a week later, which led me to use H&R Block online. The H&R Block submission was successful, with both federal and state taxes accepted. Despite this, my TurboTax filing was rejected as I had already completed the process. Now, I need to amend my taxes to include the additional W-2 for a higher refund. However, this cannot be done online, and the IRS website currently only allows access to [redacted] tax forms. Today, the federal refund was deposited into my account, creating uncertainty on how to proceed with the remaining 3 W-2 forms for [redacted].

I am currently going through a divorce from my wife, and we have been discussing tax arrangements for our children. Despite me being the head of household, my wife attempted to claim both children on her own. She only worked for two months last year, while I supported the children financially. She also obtained the stimulus payment without informing me. I had a phone call with a representative that got disconnected. I hope to resolve this matter smoothly. My wife's name is Ariel Lynn Vessels from Vincennes, Indiana.

I have not yet received my $[redacted] stimulus check. Despite being on social security, I followed the instructions and filed my [redacted] tax return. I claimed my economic stimulus on the electronically submitted tax return. However, I am unable to access my [redacted] tax return online as I only have a debit card, without other options like a credit card or student loan. It feels unfair that those without certain financial means struggle to access personal tax information online. Given my inability to use the online portal or reach the IRS by phone, I am uncertain about receiving the $[redacted] stimulus payment. Even with a status of collectability for owed back taxes, it seems I should still be eligible for this payment. Despite checking Get My Refund, no information was available. I hope to receive guidance on how to obtain my $[redacted] stimulus payment in this challenging time.

I completed my tax filings for the years [redacted] to [redacted] in [redacted] over the phone with a representative. Despite being eligible for refunds, I have not received any yet. I am frustrated by the difficulty in reaching a live agent through the automated phone system. Moreover, I am unable to create an online account since I no longer have credit cards or loans under my name. This prevents me from obtaining my AGI promptly. I have attempted to contact the support team multiple times without receiving any assistance or even a password reset email. If I don't hear back within 24 hours, I will escalate this matter to State Representative J. S. of Missouri.

I need to ensure that my social security number is not being used for tax refunds as a dependent this year. No one has covered 50% or more of my expenses in over a year and a half. The individual who may have claimed as such in the past did not rightfully qualify. He has misused my funds, maxed out my credit cards without permission, and engaged in theft, fraud, identity theft, and violence against me. I am pursuing a protective order against him. I want to prevent anyone from falsely claiming me as a dependent for tax refunds to avoid issues with any potential stimulus payments. What steps should I take to protect myself from this happening again?

I am writing to seek assistance regarding my stimulus checks. Unfortunately, both of my stimulus payments were taken by my father, who has been falsely claiming me as a dependent without my knowledge. Even after reporting this fraud to the IRS in March [redacted], I have not received any updates on my case. As someone who depends on a small SSI check, I am in urgent need of the $1,[redacted] that is rightfully mine. I hope for the IRS to investigate this matter, hold my father accountable for his actions, and ensure that I receive the funds that were meant for me. However, I have not received any response from the IRS so far.

I e-filed my taxes on July 1 and submitted the injured spouse form. I've been patiently waiting for my refund but was informed by my tax advocate that the check is on its way via mail, even though I had requested direct deposit on my tax return. Is there a way to expedite the process and have it deposited directly into my account? According to online resources, the check should be mailed out today, but there are also mentions of it taking up to a month. Additionally, I have not received any of the stimulus checks. The first one was sent to my ex-husband, who doesn't file taxes and has child support arrears, causing the checks to be returned because he forwarded my mail. I believe I should still receive a new check as it wasn't my fault they were not delivered before the deadline. Any suggestions on what I can do next to resolve this situation would be appreciated.

I am still waiting for a tax refund from August 5th, [redacted], when I filed my [redacted] taxes. The delay has caused me to miss two stimulus payments and is now impacting my healthcare.gov subsidy due to IRS processing delays. Here are the key details: taxes were filed through TurboTax and accepted by the IRS on August 5th. The delay is due to a missing 1095A document, which I mailed to the IRS five months ago. The IRS confirmed receiving it two months ago and said they were processing it. I was advised to wait 4-6 weeks before calling if no updates were received. It has been over 6 weeks with no communication from the IRS. I now need my [redacted] taxes finalized before I can complete my [redacted] federal taxes.

I believed I had a valid job with a company called Shea Post LLC. The address provided was 20 Shea Way Unit K458, Newark, Delaware, [redacted]. Their phone number was [redacted]. I possess screenshots of the communication history with this company to demonstrate their legitimacy. I worked as a quality control inspector, inspecting packages and shipping them with provided labels. After 45 days of training, I was supposed to receive my first paycheck. On payday, I suddenly could not log in to the company's dashboard anymore. I worked from December 24, [redacted], to February 9, [redacted], under the supervision of someone claiming to be Mariah Adams. During training, they requested my ID, direct deposit information, and had me fill out legal documents. They even obtained an EIN from the IRS on my behalf. The issue now is that I had to cancel the card linked to the account for payment. This account was also used for my direct deposit on my [redacted] tax return. I am seeking advice on resolving this problem and need help recalling the last address I provided to the IRS. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
