My Cox service went out and remained down for about **-** days. I was getting an error message on the screen saying "check my cable connections......" Nothing was loose. I reset my cable box umpteen times. Cox sent reboot signals to my box to no avail. They sent a technician out. Determined it wasn't the box going out. Did a rewire outside from the poll to the house. Still nothing. Came out again. This time, got up in the attic and determined a booster was bad and removed some wiring for two other boxes I no longer had - claimed it would boost signal to my one box. All worked....horrah! **Then....I get my cable bill. They charged me $** for the service call. I had no idea there would be a charge! They claim it was because it wasn't because of anything on Cox's end - it was internal wiring and that is not their issue. Do I have any recourse - even the fact that I didn't have working cable for almost two weeks?
