Hello, I purchased 3 Criminal Justice textbooks from Chegg last semester. I returned all 3 books, 2 correctly and 1 incorrectly. The incorrect book was rented from Amazon. I understand the late fee for the Mainstream and Crosscurrents Criminal Justice book I mistakenly returned. I am willing to pay it. I will be sending the correct book back. I hope you can see that I made an effort to return all 3 books on time, and only made a mistake with one. I kindly request that you send the right book back to me so I can return it to Amazon. I have photos that could clarify the situation, but I cannot attach them here. Thank you for your assistance.

I rented three textbooks (Criminal Law ISBN: [redacted], Organized Crime ISBN: [redacted]63X, and Criminology ISBN: [redacted]) from Chegg. I packaged and sent them together at the end of May, either the 29th or 30th, dropping them off at a UPS drop box near my house. I received an email stating that Chegg did not receive the books and my bank account was charged. I am confident I returned all the books as instructed. I have proof of the UPS email confirming the receipt. I suspect the issue occurred with UPS either losing or misplacing the package. I fulfilled my part in returning the textbooks and should not be responsible for the missing items. I kindly request a refund if feasible. Thank you.

Hello, I am Jessica, a satisfied user of Chegg products. I have regularly rented and purchased books from Chegg in the past with great satisfaction. However, this semester, I encountered an issue with the rental process. I rented an "American Government" book for my college course this summer, and halfway through the semester, I decided I wanted to purchase it. Unfortunately, I was surprised to find out that instead of just paying the price difference between renting and buying, I would have to pay both the original rental price and the full purchase price. This policy seems unfair and discouraging for students who wish to own their course materials. I would appreciate it if there is any way to resolve this so that I can afford to purchase the book I love without paying double the cost. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello, I am reaching out regarding a recent charge I received from Chegg Study for $14.95. Despite cancelling the service last year and being assured over the phone that I would not be billed again, the charge still went through. I have found it challenging to stop the service entirely even when I no longer require it. The timing of this charge was particularly inconvenient as it occurred on my birthday when my parents had gifted me $20. I managed to cancel the subscription again last night, but I am requesting a refund for the recent charge and confirmation that I will no longer be billed. As I have completed my classes, I do not foresee using the service in the future. Could you also please assist in closing my account and removing my information to prevent any unexpected charges moving forward? Thank you for your swift attention to this matter. Best, Manuel B. Jr.

I scheduled a tutoring session for July 15th; the webpage initially displayed the rate as $15 for a 30-minute session and 50 cents for each additional minute. However, my session extended to 47 minutes. I noticed multiple deductions from Chegg on my bank statement that do not align with the expected pricing. There is one charge for $33 and another for $27, yet neither matches the total amount that should have been charged based on the agreed pricing. Upon reviewing my account's order history, I identified a $35 charge for the 47-minute session on July 15th. This figure does not correspond to the charges on my bank statement or the calculated total for my session. As per Chegg's rates, the initial 30 minutes should be $15, with the extra 17 minutes costing $8.50, making a total of $23.50. However, none of the debits reflect these amounts.

Dear [redacted], I was reviewing my bank statements and noticed unfamiliar transactions. Upon investigating, I discovered an unauthorized charge related to a website promoting academic dishonesty. My son, who confessed to using my account for this service during his exams, registered with the email [redacted] I am addressing this matter personally but require a refund for the unauthorized withdrawal from my account by your company. Sincerely, Katelyn Dublinski

Hello, I recently logged into my Chegg account after my last semester that ended on May 19, [redacted]. I noticed that my subscription has been active even though I have not used the service since then. I thought I had canceled it and would like to request a refund. As a college student, $45 is a significant amount for me, and I have not benefited from the subscription since May. I appreciate your help in resolving this issue. Thank you, Raymond J.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in regard to my application for the tutor position. I have been asked to verify my school enrollment, and despite submitting my high school diploma and college student identification, they were deemed invalid. I am eager to secure this job and would appreciate any guidance on rectifying this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Alyssa P.

Hello, I am Holly Mahan. I noticed three charges on my account that I need assistance with. On 8/31/19, I was charged $51.81 for the textbook "Essentials of Organizational Behavior" by Robbins & Judge, which was supposed to be $46.99. I assumed it included tax/shipping but now realize the discrepancy. On 9/2/19, there was a charge of $21.52 for the textbook "Language Files," the 11th edition, by Ohio State University. Originally priced at $12.99, the additional cost seems excessive even with tax/shipping included. Unexpectedly, on 9/10, a charge of $5.99 appeared on my account for a Chegg purchase I did not make. I am requesting a refund for this unauthorized charge. Thank you.

I placed an order for 2 books from Chegg this morning, October 1, [redacted]. Unfortunately, I forgot to update my shipping address. The option to make changes seems to have disappeared, and I'm concerned about my order being delivered to the wrong location. My order number is UD4H6FH3. Here is my new address: [redacted] Damascus Road Apartment A1 Enterprise, AL [redacted] I really need these textbooks, so please rectify this issue as soon as possible. I provided my details here as I believe waiting for an email response may delay the correction, and the books might already be on their way by then!

Today, I noticed that Chegg deducted $19.95 from my bank account. Upon checking, I discovered that they have been charging me $19.95 annually for a study membership without my consent. I am upset because I never agreed to this membership or accepted any terms. Chegg signed me up without my permission, and I never received any notification or email regarding these deductions. Moreover, I have not benefited from this study membership at all.

I am experiencing a concerning issue with my account. Unable to access it, I created a new one to rent a book online. Despite printing the correct code, it did not work. After trying the forgot code service and receiving no help via email, I created another account with the same email. To my dismay, this account lacks any rental records, address, or payment details. All my account information seems to have disappeared. I am quite anxious about this situation. My account details are as follows: 1. Email: [redacted]02[at]qq.com (used for two new accounts) 2. First name: Yunyi, Last name: Zhang 3. I rented a book this afternoon titled "Understanding and Using English Grammar 5th Edition Volume B." 4. I have paid the fees. My postal code is [redacted]. I eagerly await your response.

I recently applied to be a mathematics and physics tutor on Chegg, but unfortunately, I received a rejection letter stating I did not meet the client's needs. With over 30 years of teaching experience at the high school and college level, holding master's degrees in both mathematics and physics, I am puzzled by this decision. I believe my qualifications exceed those of many tutors listed on your platform. As a native English speaker, I am concerned that my application was not given a fair review. I kindly request a more personalized and detailed explanation as to why my background was deemed insufficient for your clients' needs, rather than a standard form letter.

I keep receiving repeated requests from Chegg to change my password and accusing me of sharing my account, despite not doing so intentionally. The issue arises when I access Chegg from various school computers, and the system interprets it as different individuals logging in with my credentials. This leads to constant password changes, disrupting my workflow when I rely on Chegg for homework assistance. The prompt insisting on a separate account is redundant, as I already have one. Requesting Chegg to reconsider this security measure, as the continuous password changes do not deter account sharing. It unfairly inconveniences legitimate paying customers adhering to the rules, while not tackling the real issue. Students on a budget may resort to shared accounts, but penalizing all users with these incessant password changes is counterproductive.

I'm encountering a message asking me to confirm that I am a human whenever I try to access Chegg from my desktop. The notice says: "Please verify you are a human. Access to this page has been denied because we believe you are using automation tools to browse the website." It suggests that the issue may be caused by disabled Javascript, blocked cookies, or browser extensions. I have confirmed that both Javascript and cookies are enabled and the problem persists across all browsers. I have successfully used my account on other computers and would like to rectify this to access the service I am subscribed to. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently had two lessons with Chegg, one lasting 40 minutes and the other 27 minutes. Despite being on a $30 USD 60-minute monthly plan, I cancelled after the first session. For the second lesson, I switched to their "pay-as-you-go" option for 75 cents per minute. To my surprise, after the second lesson, I was charged $49.15 AUD. This seems inaccurate as my total lesson time only adds up to 67 minutes, with the first 60 minutes covered by the initial $30 charge and the remaining 7 minutes at the pay-as-you-go rate. Strangely, my payment history only shows the Chegg Study subscription I bought for $14.95 and not the individual lesson charges. Any insights into these discrepancies would be appreciated.

Hello, I am Milee Owen and I am reaching out regarding my Chegg account under the email [redacted] Recently, I received an email informing me that my Chegg study account was abruptly closed, without my knowledge. Upon contacting support, I was informed it was due to a policy violation related to sharing, which I have never engaged in. I typically access my account from different devices as needed. I am uncertain if this usage pattern triggered the closure and if so, why now as I have not encountered any issues previously with this practice. Chegg study is an essential tool for my homework, and I am unsure of the necessary steps moving forward. I am seeking clarification on whether my account has been permanently deleted or if there is a possibility of reinstatement. Should I create a new account, can I use the same email address or must I use a different one? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Dear Sir/Madam, I applied to become a Chegg Subject Matter Expert three months ago. I have successfully completed all the tests with qualifying percentages and reached Step 5 of the KYC process. However, after a few weeks, I submitted a query asking when my Chegg account would be verified. The expert team responded, instructing me to resubmit my KYC details by logging into my account for another opportunity. When trying to enter my PAN card details, I received a message stating it was already registered, which I did not do previously for Chegg. I am seeking assistance as I was informed that this process should be completed within two days. I kindly request your prompt help as I have been waiting patiently for two months. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am frustrated with Chegg as they have disabled my account, accusing me of sharing my password, which is not true. Despite resetting my password when I used different devices, Chegg still cancelled my account shortly after charging me on October 25th. This has left me unable to access their services this month, especially when I needed them the most. I demand a refund for the month or to have my account reinstated without additional charges since the cancellation was not authorized by me. I have already reached out to Chegg support via email, but have yet to receive a response.

I need assistance with unauthorized charges on my debit card. My daughter signed up for a free trial that included free tutoring, but we were billed multiple times for services we did not authorize. She cancelled the subscription before the charges appeared, but they still showed up on my bank statement. Can you help us get a refund? We apologize for any inconvenience, as the website was not transparent about the billing process.
