I would like a refund for the charges taken from my bank account and request the cancellation of any account under my name, Jane Uneanya. I had contacted you on multiple occasions to explain that I did not wish to be a member. Unfortunately, I was misled by an aggressive individual who directed me to care.com instead of helping me pay my insurance bill to USLI, the company I originally contacted. At that time, I was informed that my membership was canceled and that a refund would be issued to my credit card within a few weeks. However, it has been approximately 4 months and I recently discovered that another charge of $38.99 was deducted from my account on 9/6-9/7. I kindly request a refund for all the charges taken from my account and the immediate cancellation of this misleading membership. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate it to the Better Business Bureau and pursue legal action.

I have been a paying member for years. When Covid-19 hit, I had to take care of my parents' children while they worked from home. As the situation prolonged, I returned with a mask. Despite receiving one month's severance pay when the kids joined a summer camp, I'm struggling to find a new job with enough hours. I am now seeking additional income to make ends meet. Care.com, my usual go-to, seems to have restricted my access as a non-paying member to respond to inquiries without a background check payment. Even when I was a member, many families preferred to conduct their own background checks. I wonder why job seekers like me have to pay extra for this information, especially when financially challenged. I request instructions on how to reopen my account to reply to potential clients. I have a 5-star rating but believe families should bear the background check costs, considering the demanding and underpaid nature of caregiving. Although I have references to share, I am finding the cost of background checks on Care.com burdensome. On June 17, [redacted], I was charged $[redacted].48 for the full premium membership that I purchased for a year. However, when I tried to log in, the system prompted me to sign up again. As a result, I have been unable to hire or communicate with a sitter as it keeps asking me to purchase a membership. I have been searching for customer support but have not found any functioning email or phone number to address this issue. I am extremely frustrated at this point and simply want a refund. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it to the FCC.

I am Rita H., and I purchased a 3-month subscription. However, my granddaughter Marie S. set up an account for me. I was dissatisfied as I couldn't find the cost upfront when signing up for myself. Using Marie's login to access candidates for work, the system stopped working, and prompted me to enter a password without success. I attempted multiple times, but couldn't set up a proper account. I registered on September 9 and my payment was accepted promptly. I quickly found a client, but then my payment was refunded, and I was removed. After re-registering as a premium member with background and auto checks paid for in mid-September, I am still pending. Despite reaching out to the help center over 20 times, no resolution has been provided. Is this the standard way people are treated? I urgently need a job, which is why I turned to care.com, but it has become a nightmare. I am extremely disappointed and need to commence work soon, especially with Christmas approaching and having twin girls to care for. Losing two part-time jobs due to COVID has made this situation even more urgent. Why am I facing this treatment?

I have been actively searching for a full-time job for 4 months, which has been challenging at the age of 61, despite my 23 years of experience as a nanny for infants and toddlers. I opened an account a few years back to find a nanny job, but recently returned to look for a caregiver for an Adult Foster Care home. The website prompted me to use my old account and pay $18.99 to continue. I expected access to caregiver contact information based on the details I provided, but upon payment, I was redirected to the previous nanny job section. I am unable to search for caregivers as intended. I request a refund as there was no indication I wouldn't be able to look for caregivers and the payment was required to proceed on the website.

Hello, I am currently seeking a caregiver for an elderly individual. I have been in touch with a potential candidate, and I have requested a background check. Despite the individual telling me they granted permission, Care.com's message indicates that the permission has not been given. The message reads: "We're waiting for Deborah H. to approve your background check request. Once approved, we will start the background check and email you when the report is ready. Note: Due to COVID-19, some court records may be inaccessible, and the completion of your report may be delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience." Hello, After my return from MI early in [redacted], I registered on Care.com. I want to share some background leading to my membership to explain why I required your services. I stayed an extended period due to my Stepfather's terminal lung and brain cancer diagnosis. I assisted my mother with various tasks and offered a distraction from the difficult situation. After his passing, I was hospitalized for sepsis, experienced severe skin conditions, panic attacks, and PTSD flashbacks. I had to move to CT due to a state closure. I sought help through Care.com, but faced challenges with the caregivers I tried to hire. I encountered login issues via email links only, making access difficult. Despite attempts, I was unable to get the assistance I needed. This led to a hospital visit in August. I believe having support could have prevented this. I accidentally signed up for the premium subscription, which I do not want. I am sorry for the confusion on your website. I am trying to book a babysitter for Saturday, November 6, but I only need a babysitter for a one-time service. I do not wish to have a one-year subscription. I contacted Care.com to express my concern about the availability of Vet Techs for pet care services. I did not receive a response. After subscribing for a one-month trial at $12 to explore the site for Vet Techs to assist with my cat's subQ fluids, I promptly canceled my account to avoid auto-renewal. Despite no Vet Techs being available, I managed to find one through my local vet, rendering the $12 fee wasted. To my dismay, I noticed Care.com attempting to charge me for a full year ($[redacted].88), which I never authorized. I have emailed [redacted] twice to cancel, yet received no acknowledgement. This situation is unacceptable, and I refuse to pay for a year's worth of services when one month was unsatisfactory. I haven't accessed my Care.com account in a while because I've been caring for a family for the past three years. Suddenly, when I logged in, I discovered that my account has been terminated. The message mentioned that I'm no longer eligible to be a care member. I have a clean background and a good driving record, and I've been using Care.com since [redacted]. I suspect someone may have falsely reported me to get me removed from the site. I wonder if I'm allowed to create a new Care membership because I believe I've done nothing wrong. Every time I attempt to make a new profile, I'm automatically removed, which is confusing and frustrating.

I worked on 11/6/[redacted] for 12 hours and have not received payment from the person I worked for. I have tried to reach out regarding this unusual situation to no avail. Our long-term care insurance provider, New York Life, will require approval. The caregiver must keep concise daily care notes covering Activities of Daily Living.
