How Do I Return an Item from Kohl's?

If you need to return something to Kohl's, read on. This article describes how to return something you purchased from Kohl's.

Kohl's Return Policy

Any item purchased in a Kohl's store must be returned to a Kohl's store. It does not need to be the same store you bought the item from, though. You cannot return in-store purchases by mail. You can, however, return online purchases either by mail or to a Kohl's store.

If you make the return within 180 days of the purchase date, you can get a refund. The limit for refunds of premium electronics is 30 days. Premium electronics must be returned in their original packaging for a refund. Items returned without a receipt will only be eligible for store credit. If you cannot locate your receipt, customer service might be able to look up the purchase. Items purchased with gift cards can only receive store credit, not refunds.

In-Store Returns

To return items purchased from a store, take the items to be returned and the receipt to the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store. You can return any online purchase to a Kohl's store if you bring the order invoice with you along with it. You can print out a new copy of the order invoice using the instructions below if you can no longer locate the original.

Making a Return by Mail

To return an online purchase by mail, follow these instructions:

  1. Print out the return form found here.
  2. Print out the order invoice using the instructions below if you can no longer locate the original.
  3. Put the item to be returned, the order invoice, and the return form in a box.
  4. Mail the box to the address specified on the return form.

Getting the Order Invoice

  1. Go to Kohl's web page.
  2. Log into your Kohl's account.
  3. Go to Order History.
  4. Print out the order invoice.
