National Passport Information Center Customer Service Issues

My daughter and I submitted our expedited passport applications on April 25th. We were informed that we would receive them by the first or second week of June as we have an upcoming international trip for a family emergency. However, upon checking online, it shows that my application was only received on 5/27/21, and my daughter's is still being processed. Our departure date is June 27th, and we were relying on receiving the passports on time. Now, she is hesitant to move forward with the trip due to the uncertainty.

I have been attempting to contact your office for the past two weeks at various times each day, only to receive an automated message citing high call volumes as the reason for being unable to speak with a representative. Despite this, I have made several attempts during different hours of the day with no success. I submitted my passport for renewal over 9 weeks ago and have yet to receive any information regarding its status. The online portal has not been updated either. I am eager to receive an update on the processing timeline of my passport, as I have imminent travel plans that require this document.
